Happy birthday Alain!
I've been reading Aldi's journal for several years now; in fact, I think he was my first lj friend!  We share a love of procrastination, even though we both feel guilty about that sometimes.

He is an inspiration to me: a man who makes things happen.  A man who works hard, with grit and determination.  A man who lives life on his own terms.  A man with a passion for music.  A man of infinite patience and great attention to detail. Someone who takes pleasure in the small things in life, and finds happiness and joy in the most unexpected places.

Thank you, Alain, for showing me that, with hard work, anything is possible.  For introducing me to obscure French-Canadian musicians.  For letting me know, that life doesn't always go according to plan, and that's OK; you can always start again.  For sharing your study journey with me and re-assuring me on my own journey.

I wish you many happy returns on your birthday!  May your year ahead be filled with music, laughter, good friends, good results, lucky garage sailing, and giant kangaroos.
